“The Champions are struggling to hit hard recently and no more than today against some surprisingly tough Elves. A poor performance overall. First half we went up the flank in a crowd. We were slowly moving forward and there were some Elf kos due to diving tackle, a foul and a surf. Eventually as expected a Wardancer leapt in and he managed to cas our agile carrier Santo. The apo was needed to patch him up, while the Elves got the ball and were away.
In the remaining moments of the half we were worried after a skink fumble but managed to fend off another TD. But crucially a Wardancer cas'd Santo again!

Second half all the ko'd Elves came back and we were down on numbers due to a ban. We still couldn't cause any damage and seemed to be weakening, despite adding some kicks to the hitting, and the skinks were falling around dreadfully. We did blitz forward and catch a short kick but one of the Wardancers soon got the ball back from a hapless skink. Diablo caused one injury on a Linelf to mark his rookie performance with some credit before it was 3-0.

The coach is furious after an abject performance. But the Champions will return!”
