The Nurgs had little hope going in to this match, and when two Rotters were de-pitched on Turn 1, our strategy became to even the numbers. We went after the squishy Slayer to no effect, with Lord Barak out of position trying to blitz and stick the boot in. The ref quickly caught on, and was not swayed by the pouch of gold we handed him either! Nurg coaches hate refs with integrity.

Our boots and mitts started to find openings the rest of the match (who needs MB?) but we were stymied by Rotspawn Louie Louie's double skulls twice, and despite block dice that were otherwise pretty good, the Dwarfs were just too efficient and reliable (as Dwarfs always are). Of course, leaving the backdoor open on our drive was the real turning point and ultimately cost us the tie as we pushed too hard for the score.
