“It's not every day that you manage to clear the pitch. To do so in a major main event is really something.
Our hits were fearsome, and crazy accurate. The elves left the pitch faster than 1 per turn. I rolled as many POWs as I did pushes, and most blocks broke armor. 7 fouls with the dirty player without getting sent off - Flywheel was essential here, just like last game when he 1d KO'ed the opposing Bull centaur that was about to score 0-1.
I could have been more careful I suppose, was pushed into scoring T7, giving the elves 2 turns on the return. I marked players, but could have set up a harder line to cross. In the end the elves needed only 3+4+3+3+2+ to score and got through.
A little nervous on facing a decent amount of elves, who now had the chance to go to 2-1. Then Zoom Bot stood firm against a blitz, and on the dodge back the ball carrier fell over. On my return turn 4 elves left the pitch and I had scooped up the ball. Game over really, a few turns of kicking players until none remained.
Many thanks, and still a mightily impressing showing by King's heroes and villains through the qualifiers.”
As lucky as King' Heroes and Villains were throughout the qualifier they deserved to receive some punishment from Nuffle. The orcs were accurate and hardhitting with their blocks and blitzes and despite BS having only one tackler the King's blodgestepper were flying off the pitch in a rapid pace. Taken by being in their first major ever the King's tactics was sub-par but with one turn of brilliance in turn 8 the elves managed to pull back and holding a 1-1 in halftime.
But the ref's blind eyes, the orcs massive punches and the elves nervous and slippery feet were taking it's toll! In one massive turn the elves lost the ball and went from 7 to 3 players and in turn 12 all the elves was off the page and the game was over. Good luck to our successors and hope you take the Major home to Sweden!”
