Carroburg in a crisis! That is definitely the feeling you get when listening to the coach and the players before this away match in Brionne. After the loss of Adams and Krukenberg, no one has a good answer to how the Cascade is going to score on the offense, except letting TJ run like crazy. Even worse, with Manfred and Vick out for the game, neither do anyone has a revised plan for the defense. Coach probably meant well when he said that in this match, we will not look at the result, only at the way we play the game, but the players take it as another sign they have no chance in this game. Their steps seem heavy and their faces grim as the players trot out for the game. Surprisingly, Carroburg has the fan advantage, and they are chosen to receive.

Buccaneer's kicker is too eager, and the kick is high, and not very deep. It's easily caught by Hoffman running into position, and the Cascade starts the drive well as Althoff KO's Dotson on his first Block. Buccaneers retaliates as Dunkelhelm sends Gräbner off badly hurt, and they easily stops the Cascade advance on the Cascade left flank. Hoffman can't get good hits on Boykin, and neither can the other Cascade players control the line, so they have to give up and change flank. Double skulls by Stangl means that the Buccaneers can surround ballcarrier Dagfinnsdottir and quarterback Hoffman, and at the same time stun Crazy Crawford and send Hessel off KO'd. Thus, there are no Cascade blitzers or linos to help Dagfinnsdottir and Hoffman so desperate action is needed. Dagfinnsdottir hands the ball back to Hoffman, who blitzes himself free and Returns to the left flank, where Hughes has made some room by KO'ing Massaquoi. They are Three against Three there, but as Burris KO's Billy Winn, the holes in the Cascade defense becomes glaring, and only a last minute hit from Hoffman stops Huff's blitz (skull). The situation is slightly improved as Althoff KO's Clark and Crazy Crawford and Hoffman combine to surf Boykin, and with that smashed up hand as he grabs the railing to avoid ending among the Cascade fans, he won't be back this match, and probably not the next either. As Dagfinnsdottir's foul on Huff keeps him down, there are now seven Cascade players around the ball, and only three Buccaneers to stop them.

There is a hole, however, and as DeCastro pushes Turbin back, he opens for a successful Burris blitz on Hoffman, and the loose ball is picked up by Price and handed over to Ebron. Time is getting short, and the Buccaneers have the ball safely tucked away, but Cascade has the numerical advantage 8 to 7 which becomes 8 to 6 as Althoff KO's Conte, his third KO this half. Can they regain the ball? But no. Buccaneers take the inside track and run between the Cascade players and the line, and reform their screen on the other side. Cascade has to let go, and instad try to get Dunkelhead out of the game. Buccaneers get the defensive TD as Ebron hands the ball over to Huff on the goalline. 1-0 Buccaneers. On the one-turner, Althoff finally makes a Casualty, as he piles upon Buccaneers back-up Quarterback Cade McNown, and TJ gets the ball from Dagfinnsdottir, but fails to topple Sankey and then fails again to Dodge to pass him. The half ends with Latimer being KO'd and TJ stunned in a foul.

CAscade can still put 11 players on the field, but both guards and their Frenzy player are out for the drive. Buccaneers og for an easy left flank drive. Cascade tries to stop it Cold, but Althoff can't get the hit on Clark, and he can easily open up for a Cotchery touchdown. 2-0 Buccaneers. Cascade, now with Latimer back but With Hughes out, immediately retaliates With a TJ free flank run, as he catches the pass from Inga and runs for the TD. 2-1 Buccaneers.

With no one back (in the whole match, Cascade succeeded on 2 out of 10 KO-rolls...), Cascade still only have 11 players, and have to put rookies Stangl and Dagfinnsdottir in the LOS. Buccaneers have no problem running up their right flank and scoring by Huff, but there is still time enough for another Cascade TD. Althoff niggles Dotson, and Turbin and Latimer pushes Burris out of the way and clears the path for the TJ run, but Inga can't pick up the ball and Ebron, Huff, Masssaquoi and Price is on them in a hurry. Ebron grabs the ball, but is almost floored by Inga (saved by his Dodge skill). Ebron is freed up and runs to the goalline on the other flank, and a heroic sack attempt by Hoffman supported by TJ fails (Inga and Anders bot used an RR, but 8 Block dice couldn't produce a POW...) and Hoffman chooses to push Ebron in for the TD, to get another chance. The one-turner fails, though, as Inga once more can't pick up the ball (two high kick catches and four pick up attempts because of Sure hands all failed).

We expecteed to loose to the Bucs, who in our opinion has the best squad in the Conference, but not like this. The figures are not telling the whole truth about this match, but morale is down in the Cascade camp and frustration is spreading, as players fail in easy tasks. Only Althoff is doing what he is supposed to do, adding another two casualties and the Tackle skill to his name.
