I get two Blitzes in this game and both cost me. The first took a re-roll for nothing. The second.. led to a failed catch. More on that.
So 'the plan' was to play up 300 tv and buy 3 mercs to hide behind all game. All three were removed from the pitch turn 1. So much for 'the plan'.
By turn 4 the orks had removed 5 players and all but 1 of my re-rolls, so they confidently score. Not a bad play, considering any route I might take on offense would likely take my last re-roll. I elect to 1 Turn Score and it thankfully works without costing that re-roll.
Cue that second BLITZ and all hell breaks lose. I catch the ball off that BLITZ and survive the ork turn with the ball intact. I merely have to hand it to the AG5 catcher who can score. DOUBLE SKULLz. Orks smash and bounce the ball back to an elf. I get another shot to hand off to the AG5 catcher. Double Skullz!
Lucky nobody dies, and the orks can't score before the half ends. I set up intending to 1 Turn, only the 1 turner who has just dropped the ball twice TAKES A ROCK TO THE HEAD and is KO'd!! Man...
I use a re-roll to get the ball to the AG5 Wardancer who manages to score in 3 turns. Then I apply enough pressure to get the orks to score in 3, and manage to score again in 3 myself. No complaints about turns 2-8 of the second half, but MAN! What a day for the 1 Turner.
