A tale of two halves. Karak scores twice in the 1st half, Rolla scores 3 times in the 2nd

1st half nothing could go right for the Gold Diggers, and the Techies took advantage by scoring 2 times before the whistle blew. Even had the ball as time ran out and could have scored again if there had been more time. However, with 3 players out, KAMU was a man down for the 2nd half, as the dwarves of Karak could not break through the lightly armored Norse.

2nd half started with Nicholas (a student walk on) failing a block, giving the Gold Diggers a chance to get the ball an score quickly. Then a failed GFI by Long Legs trying to get into a relatively safe cage allowed them another quick score..so 2-2 and 4 turns left. The weather had turned very hot, and the conditioning of each team shined through--3 dwarves couldn't handle the heat while only one Digger was affected. Additionally, SayOw! could not recover (yet again) from his KO, so the Techies were down to 5 players vs. a full norse team. Unsurprisingly, Rolla was able to score in the time left to take the win.
