“Last season's match in beleaguered Praag was a success story for Inga, who had to do duty as primary quarterback when Anders was injured. That ended in a 3-3 Draw. This time, Cascade is looking to do better, but meet a fully manned Grizzlies team while they themselves are one man short, dauntless lineman Thorwald Hessel. 30.000 fans have come, but ther are more brown and dark green than Crimson and bright green... The Grizzlies win the coin toss and choose to start receiving in a steadily increasing heat... This will definitely be one hot match!

Erwin manages a deep kick almost to the Grizzlies goalline. Amaro picks it up covered by Hamilton and "The Slugga". Kendricks immediately attacks Althoff, while on the LOS Dennis is KO'd. Althoff reataliates by KO-ing Jonny Unitas, and then Piling on to Kendricks, but his armour holds. Dagfinnsdottir KO's the prone Kendricks, though, but the ref spots her little pen knife, and immediately bans her. In the meantime, Amaro goes right, protected by almost the whole team. He is not in a hurry, though, but advances slowly, covered by Mick and Austin. Coverage is not excellent, though, and there is some room for Manfred to get a hit in. It's a difficult Dodge, though, but he manages and then surfs Amaro! THe crowd throws the ball back onto the Grizzlies half, where Inga and Dietmar faces off rookie lineman Dave Herman. Turbin tries to pick it up, but can't. That brings a host of other Grizzlies to the ball, and a large brawl breaks out between 5 cascade players and 4 Grizzlies but it is Grizzlies quarterback who manges to Catch a bouncing ball and run with it, closely followed by Turbin and Cody. They can't stop Namath, though, and other Grizzlies cut off the rest of Cascade, so when Turbin fails a GFI in a last-ditch attempt to stop Namath, Grizzlies score and takes the lead at the end of the first half. Hughes managed to badly hurt Grizzlies lineman Dominiquer Hamilton, though.

There is still time for a TJ run, even though he hasn't been successful these last lately. He takes the field anyway, together with Anders. It almost fail when Inga passe to Cody instead of TJ, but Cody hands the ball over and TJ runs on the outside of Robert Griffin and scores the TD! 1-1 at halftime!

THe heat is starting to take a toll, though,so at the start of the second, Cascade starts With the ball, but is short 4 players. Dagfinnsdottir is banned, Dennis is still KO'd and Althoff and TJ are both exhausted. Grizzlies are short Three excellent linemen, with Hamilton badly hurt and Easley and Griffin exhausted. Both teams field 11 players though.

Inga catches the short kick just behind the LOS and runs backward, waiting for an opportunity. Cody is KO'd, but Cascade penetrates deep on their left flank when Billy KO's Namath and Turbin sends Austin off badly hurt. This allows Cascade to form a cordonaround Anders, who is now ballcarrier. They proceed slowly but surely up the flank against stubborn Grizlies defenders. Dontae Johnson attempts to get allthe way around and attack from the Cascade side of the Field. He get a shot at Anders, who easily steps aside while Sternberg deals with Dontae who is sent off badly hurt after failing a dodge. Nearing the end of the half, the beleaguered Grizzlies can't prevent all the approaches and the CAscade simply flows around them and out onto the middle of the field. Crawford fouls Amaro who is KO'd. Kendricks really goes for it and gets Close eough to cover Anders, but Hoffman is there and pushes Kendricks away, allowing Anders to score the TD. 2-1 Cascade, and only time enough for a OTTD run by the Grizzlies. Cascade only have 7 players, though, as Cody and Dennis are KO'd, Erwin and John badly hurt, Rannveig and Tyrone banned and KIllian and Manfred exhausted, and Grizzlies can field 11. They seriously screw up their OTTD attempt, though, and in frustration, Chucky Morris fouls and badly hurts Turbin, and is sent off by the ref for his bother.

Cascade struggled with a hardfighting and hard-hitting Grizzlies team, and had to earn their victory. They had a serious chance for a turnover and defensive TD after Manfred's surprise blitz on a weakly covered Amaro in the first half that surfed Amaro and put the ball at the mercy of the Cascade players, but Turbin couldn't pick it up and Grizzlies got away with the scare. At the end, the Grizzlies should have managed the OTTD and gotten a draw. They will curse themselves for that during most of midseason for sure... We got a skill roll, a victory and no permanent damage on any player, although the apo had to help out Billy Winn, and we are satisfied with that.
