“This is probably the most difficult match I've played in any form of Blood Bowl thus far. The first time I took elves against lizards and I'll never look at them the same way again. 6 Sauruses are no joke when most of your players have AV 7 (and since I'm better/play more with bashier teams it's something I've taken for granted). I can't get over how lucky I am to have avoided any permanent damages or deaths and to have scored at the last possible moment by running the ball across roughly 3/4 of the pitch (when half your team is out and the other half is soon to be saurus chow who could possibly catch the ball?)

Given that elven blitzers are the only ones that are a step above rookie lineman in all circumstances (AG 4 doesn't guarantee perfection but it's solid for ball handling) starting with 4 rerolls is actually a decent way to build an Elven Union team. The screw-ups that occur from not having catchers and throwers everywhere can be covered by a re-roll every other turn, just like all the other shenanigans elves need to pull off (dodging, desperately slapping at their opponents, dodging while prone, etc.) You're also less at risk of needing an apothecary since your two Blitzers are the only players that are considerably more expensive than your Linemen.

All in all this was a fun and constantly tense match, made me think more than I've had to in a while with a game of any sort. Thanks sternert!”
