“We huffed and puffed in this match but the Pro Elves outdid us just. We had a chainsaw based on their inducements, a little unsuspected. Helmet fouled out one Elf with it but it was the Elves who were laying the boot hard. 3 fouls first half and the only one of those hard kicks noticed by the ref was argued away by the Elf coach. We got outnumbered, went down a TD by turn 7 after their carrier pulled off a good blitz, and then a failed pass scuppered our return chance.
2nd half we had an extra player. We went for the quick TD, which we scored, and the hope we could stop their drive. We blitzed although had kicked long. The Elves got through but Jesiah had a chance to bring down their carrier. He tripped up however. The Elves failed a pass! Surely we could now draw or win! We just needed to move a couple of players with 2db and then try to pick up. But no, inexplicably the Butcher started and ended our turn with a double skulls! The Elves then retrieved and comfortably got the 2nd.
