A new season begins in the conferences once more, this one will be our premier run, or at least a trial of it, one can never be too sure. First up the greatest Lizards the SWL has ever known, and when they heard it was the greatest Goblins the SWL has ever known first up, two of their old legends fled in terror, never to be seen again.
Wise enough, Anarchy unleashed, Intimidation tried, Bribery killed a big one and the Apo was too terrified to get near the remains. We smashed into them again and again, Dirty Pool doing his work to keep little Hemlock at bay, but Slibli caught a hail mary and Anarchy was gone. Corruption killed a skink, not wanting to be outdone, and kickbacks ran off with the ball. Llstr, the remaining legend, stopped Thieving, but the Apo saw him right.
We worked on a stall but Conspiracy missed the chance to dodge and that opened a gap for Slibli to sack the ball, with their speed it was tricky to recover, Conspiracy all pushes. Tied half.
Money for Intimidation, lovely. Extortion at play, plenty of skilled reserves for the return. Bomb freed the ball, but Conspiracy wouldn't dodge to cover it. Corruption got in their way, and slapped down their Krox. We swarmed the ball, but they blitzed ... Dirty Pool.
The greatest fouling goblin the world has ever known. Not just the SWL, not just the killer of the Khemri dream, but the heart and soul of the B&C, ripped out. We were lost.
The ball scattered free, and they dodged out ... no! They too were stunned at the loss, Racketeering showing them how, Hush Money dragging down the legend, gobs in range again, but ... Racketeering, stalled? Again? Not good, the desperate sack made, Bribery holding the ball to the sideline, slapping back all attacks, Conspiracy to the ... tripped and stunned. The loss of Dirty Pool, too much for the team, they swarmed the ball and as Intimidation fumbled a hopeful clearing bomb, the ref called time on a draw. Everything but score, and the cost so great.
