“The Wrestlers faced up to the Nurgle rabble. Big Daddy got an early Rotter KO and Lucan moved to the middle with the ball. As the Nurgle side hit back we then realized their presence is so disturbing we could probably not manage a TTM and the Bulldog blitzed into their half. So Lucan rushed forward to handoff to the Ogre but Bulldog fumbled. A Pestigor then couldn't dodge through to get the ball and fell. So Bulldog then brilliantly blitzed and cas'd the other covering Pestigor and picked up the ball, then ran and scored!
The Croutenards then drove with a Pestigor catching a short kick and Alphonse clawed Giant Haystacks into the gas box. They advanced comfortably including doing some good fouls, but 2 snots covered the ball carrier in the last moments and so one was left standing to trip him up before the end zone! 1-0 at half-time but Les Kellet had also been cas'd along with some snots. The 2nd half would be tough.
Hopes of delaying their TD were dashed when an s5 warrior caught the ball (straight 6 needed) on the los! They went forward and kept bashing hard before scoring.
We were left with just 3 Ogres and 2 snots for our drive. Lucan had the ball near the back. He moved up one side with a couple of support but the Nurgle side crowded in. The Beast of Nurgle put its tentacles around brave Lucan. It was down to Bulldog being able to block the thing down but he couldn't on -2db, and Lucan couldn't get away. Alphonse then stunned him. With little time left a pestigor picked up and tried to pass but failed. Jim Breaks then had to gfi to cover the ball but fell! So last action one pestigor picked up and just managed to pass to the other waiting in the end zone! 2-1 t16.
So so close to avoiding an 8th straight defeat, but not enough.”
