New York won the coin toss and elected to receive. We set up deep. The Wrecks ran northward, badly hurting Slater early. A scrum ensued at the line, but eventually the Wrecks turned the corner, running the ball up the north side. We KO’ed Choto Klecko and Bud Gastineau, but the Wrecks scored. Klecko came back for the 2nd half, but not Gastineau. In the second half, the ball went shallow and north, and the Wrecks overcommitted, leaving Borak to cover too much ground. We injured Borak and caged up at midfield. With a little Wrestle and a little luck, the Wrecks managed to get the ball and punt it, but we recovered and ran in a slightly hurried TD on turn 7. The Wrecks failed their 2-turn effort, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.”
