We won the toss and elected to kick. The Chompers set up on the north side so we locked out the south and formed a wall on the north hand. They responded by repositioning to the south and leap/dodging Helen “the Honey Badger” Imaman over our screen into the backfield. We KO’ed Imaman, but a KO on Lundy let the Chompers turn the corner on us, on the north side. We forced a punt into the endzone, we won the scrum on the ball, but we burned our reroll piling on, and failed the pickup. The ball bounced out of bounds and right into San Dogo’s lap. 1-0 SD.

In the second half, we set up for a chain-surf, but didn’t get it, instead knocking Jeff Barka out to the sidelines. The Chompers got hyper-aggressive on the north side, leaping in with Imaman to cover Fonoti deep in the backfield. Gradishar saw to Helen, eating the Chompers’ Apothecary on a KO, and we repositioned at midfield. A bit of a scrum happened at midfield, the upshot of which was that we went back to the north side of the pitch. There was some drama, but Fonoti walked in the turn 8 score. In the bottom of turn 16, the Chompers made us use our Apothecary on Slater, on a foul.

The Chompers won the coin toss in overtime, so we had to kick. That’s okay, we got a Blitz! We went high contact, getting a Casualty with Anderson, and pinning down all their men. They tried to go north, but Jeffrey Lick’n’Bark killed himself trying to block Gradishar off of him. Fonoti got the ball and got deep with it, but Helen Imaman showed her stars, dodging and leaping and wrestling him down. Some great dodging from Stan Humphries, and a long bomb got the ball into Chris Growlkowski’s hands. Anderson and Brown pinned Growlkowski down, and Crick killed Helen Imaman; Growlkowski failed to dodge away, and took himself out of the game. Brown picked up the ball and ran it in on turn 7.”
