The Agony received and...wth, I wasn't even given the chance to use my 'play before setup' dirty trick! But I setup to take advantage of it. ARGH!
Anyhoo, the drive was filled with lots of fail on both sides, but the Ecstasy managed to push thru the TD on T8 after racking up a whopping ONE KO. With Max Spleenripper, numerous claws and two MB. Fortunately the Kislevites were equally unable to injure anyone.
Second half saw the Vanguard advance behind their plethora (yes, that's right, a plethora) of Guard players. Defensive desperation resulted in multiple 1d blitzes on the ball, and Lo! a success resulted in the bouncing ball being caught not once, but TWICE by lowly Cultists enveloped in Kislev tackle zones. The second catch and subsequent defensive fail by the Kislevites allowed the Agony to clear the ball. Almost. A late match quad skulls nearly doomed the turnover, but a nearly equally improbable gfi snake allowed the Ecstasy to take the 2-0 victory.
Oh, did I mention that the Kislev bears got three blocks on Sybyll'evestel, and they were ALL pows? And the third one was an AV break, cas, rip, apo fail? Yes, the ONLY cas of the entire match KILLED my MOST. EXPENSIVE. PLAYER.
But the Ecstasy won anyway, largely due to the inspired play of rookie Cultists. Way to step it up guys!”
