“With a big TV difference this indeed looked like Big Trouble. We brought in Hubris. This was a hard fought one where the Gang came up just short.
First half we were moving all over but couldn't seem to clearly penetrate the strong Cwarf line. Eventually with a big error I allowed the carrier to be blitz surfed when his only protection from one angle could be blocked away. The crowd kindly threw the line ball near the Little Centaurs endzone but it was just in range of a Centaur to dodge, sprint and pickup. And he did! We had a blitz chance but he stood tall. The Centaur advanced and Hubris followed and smashed him down. We then covered near the ball but not with range to pick up. The Cwarfs rushed back. Now was the moment. All rerolls gone. Hubris the star with simple dodge, pickup and gfis required to get the TD by half-time. But he fumbled! 0-0 half-time.
Second half it was going to be a tough defence. We tried hard and definitely asked some questions. But once 2 Elves were ko'd our line was wavering and just before the end of the match the Cwarfs did the blocks they needed and the rookie Hob made the winner.
At least Swan shows superior strength after the match to go with his high speed.”
