“Normally the Champions face bigger value teams but here we were challenged by a smaller (but successful) Gobbo team. They did though hire Ripper which made 3 Trolls including 2 Strength 6.

They came out hard and after some hitting I moved Santo forward with just 4 around him. With diving tacklers around and Diablo going dumb he had to retreat. The saw took him down. Another skink retrieved but this one was sawn into the cas box while a Saurus had to be patched up after a Troll pounded him. A gobbo got the ball, avoided a skink attack, and scored. Superstar Santo has been cas'd. It was looking grim. At least the saw was banned. Despite a fumble we came back and just managed to work out a handoff and dodge to equalize by half-time.

Second half after a short kick things got crazy. A gobbo fumbled and another caught. But after he was brought down other gobbos couldn't recover so we managed to pressure enough and score. I twice made blitzing choice errors and Wolbum also miscalculated a blitzing move back.

After the further fumbling led to another TD for us, and yet more fumbling meant we got the ball again. In the end a successful match after a tough start from the Greenies efforts.It seemed all the Gobbos bad rolls came on pick-ups and it cost them dear! Bad luck Wolbum.
