“This one deserves a write up, bloody dice rape. 59% luck reflects all the pointless dodges I rolled a 6 on. Any ball handling or important GFI was met with a 1,1.
I gave up 3 handicaps: Sponsorship Deal, Virus, and Mickey Finn. Well, actually only Sponsorship Deal, but both niggling missed anyway, and a turn 1 AG 5 leap (1 - reroll) followed by a dodge (1) led to a niggling SI for a star blitzer, so the apoth was gone straightaway. I amlost scored a couple of times, but the old GFI 1,1 got me in one way or the other.
My poor AG 5 lineman fell to the Curse of the AG 5 Linemen: none of mine last very long after their +AG roll, the crowd saw to it this time (after he failed 3+ to pick up the ball which could have been a TD, although a tough one).
Anyhow, after the first half, it quickly turned into a survival game with no apoth and massively outnumbered. I made some attempts to score or steal the ball, but the numbers difference (players on the pitch and dice rolls) prevented any of that nonsense! :D
Looks like some more elf matches to rebuild again...*sigh* I remember the good old days before every bashy team I played ended in a dice-rape game :)
Dice rape aside, Aequitas played a good solid game on offense and defense, forcing several of my (1,1) turnovers, a preventing me from making key moves regarding player placement. Not that it's that hard with 11 players to 8 on the pitch ;p”
