I had about 85% of the luck - especially with the tree and his blocking (which has been terrible for several games now but which was almost perfect here). Also, Lewdgrip seemed to fail every gfi he tried with his wolves, which allowed me to steal the ball away from a certain touchdown more than once.
However, the result was never really in doubt. Both my scores were pure luck - first because the catcher survives a frenzied block and then made a tricky dodge, second because one of the journeymen made an absolutely ridiculous 1-dice blitz, dodged out of a TZ, picked up and ran it in and didn't even need a reroll to do it. Not much Lewdgrip could do against luck like that.
THINGS I LEARNED:
Journeymen are not to be relied on, and never waste a preroll on them unless you have one to spare - they're guaranteed to fail the loner roll.
BUT, as they're completely expendable, you can do almost anything with them and it doesn't matter whether they make it or not. If they die, big deal. If they survive, woop!
Lewdgrip is a great coach to play against. Actually, I knew this already, but it's been a while, and it's nice to be reminded of the fact. He could have won this one 2-0 and stalled his way out of a lot of lot of multiple blocks, but he went for the score every time and okay, so he was only risking his unskilled zombies most of the time, but even so, it was nice of him to keep the action and excitement going for both of us.
If only the passer wasn't mng, but I suppose I can't expect all the luck!”
