Note to self. This was a bad match-up. Rats have two heavy hitters and a one turner. Elves will neither out bash them or win the agility contest. Sure, the one turner did not score and the hitters did not do any real damage, but they change the way you play the game. If you ignore the one turner he will score all night long. If you leave the bashers alone you are asking to take heavy casualties. Meanwhile while you are guarding against these monstrosities, an AG5 runner coupled with a different diving tackle gutter runner will score as they please.
Your best bet is to guard the ball well with a sure handed ball handler in the first half and reduce the infestation numbers in preparation for the second half. But rat coaches know this and rarely play against Orcs, Dwarfs, or developed chaos teams.
The best bet is really to ignore the rats and play against anything else.
This is not anything against Coach Extreme. He developed the team well and played a flawless match. He was also pleasant to chat with. Just a reminder to myself that Skaven are no fun to play against with elves.”
