“A game of two dramatically differing halves. Heroes did extremely badly the first half, with an unbelievable amount of bad luck, so that they were down 2-0 at the break. Coach Zim recalls, "At one point, our luck was down to36%, and that was just ridiculous!" They did manage to keep Aran Hlodvard out of thegame almost from the first round, knocking him out for the whole game, but the first blood went to their Norse opponents.
The second half looked to be more of the same, until Aquarius was suddenly put out of action by a vicious tackle from Alvis Anderson ,who had a stellar game for the Angry Northern Men. Then the team suddenly woke up and started doing grievous damage, beginning with Rampage. He quickly concentrated on the weaker of the Norse members, getting one casualty, before neatly beheading Thud the Large, his ogre counterpart on the Norse team. Thud had been roundly trouncing Rampage all game and it was a surprise to see the apothecary frantically stitching Thud's head back on at the neck. Thud never really recovered from the shock and the Heroes went on to reduce their opponents to five men on the pitch, with Captain Trips tackling down Alvis Anderson on the final turn to wrestle the ball for Sewer Jack to capture his equalising touchdown. Overall, a nice game, and four skill rolls for the Heroes!”
