“The Ruffians marked their 100th game with an entertaining game against some very unusual dwarfs - including Elliot, an AG5 blitzer with strong arm, another AG4 blitzer and an AG4 runner (/catcher!).

In the first half Force chose to receive. Elliot picked up the ball and dropped into the shotgun position, while the other AG4 dwarfs moved upfield for a catch! A couple of Ruffians gutters pressed upfield to hurry Elliot and he shuffled forward for a long pass... which was somehow intercepted in the midfield scrum by Leadfoot Leroy (the Ruffians' first interception in their 100th game)!. However the Ruffians in midfield were surrounded by horrible Guard and Diving Tackle dwarfs and couldn't cage him. An almighty scrum followed with the ball changing hands. Ultimately, Ruffians legend Skrut Razorclaw steamed up from fullback, smashed a dwarf over and the ball fortuitously popped into his paws. Dwarfs quickly marked him but in another amazing play he managed to dodge out and throw a pass to a linerat on the other wing. The dwarfs could still just reach him for a blitz, but the only TD threat from an AG4 dwarf was thwarted by a sneaky pitfall trap! 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half the dwarfs did a good job of pressing the rats for several turns with lots of Guard and Diving Tackle. It was touch and go but eventually speed told and the Ruffians managed to switch wings, Speedster Runny Pebbledash scoring in the left corner.
