9 CAS total, a huge number of KOs. These boys warmed up for the regular season finale! The teams had little to play for beyond pride, and this game proved that they have a huge pride! They gave all they had.
The game was pretty much open as Patton snaked a run late in the first half, ending 1-1. Second half the Manticores had the chance to score before being surrounded by Patriots players, but they tried to win it rather defending and potentially settling for the draw. It backfired. Spectacularly. Patton corrected his mistakes and run for the winning score.
The game provided a nice platform for the foulers, who were mostly effective. Both sides sent bodies to the bin on dirty, i mean artful manners. It is a miracle that only rookie careers ended. Patriots will miss their Ogre for the first playoff game, while Manticores may miss 2 bodies for the next season opener.
