“Rather a surreal match. I started the game with only 9 players, thx to a brutal match before. This became 8 when my wardancer became victim of "It's Not ME!" as a handicap roll. Became 7 when my tree slumbered first half. Became 6 when he ko'd a guy with his first block, became 5 when he bh'd another with his first turn foul. (He committed about 7 or 8 in the game before the ref finally took pity on me and chucked his dp's.) An SI and a another ko followed, and they refused to wake up after he scored and after the half.
Second half comes along, I have 4 guys (my tree has returned). My tree gets a cas (it's frustrating to have a treeman 1 sp away from a skill--can't throw the ball, td's are unheard of, cas are unpredictable at best), and then it happens--his treeman blitzes, gfi's, knocks over my catcher and GRABS THE BALL!!! I ain't about to get in that tree's way, so it's time to concede and stay away, maybe take a few 'flings with me. (Sorry, Kurt.) Narrowly avoided having my treeman SI'd, and the last three turns that's the guy I had left on the pitch--a prone tree. Kinda fast turns at that point...
Oh, well, embarrassing as this may be (this halfling team is VERY well coached--check out their record!), at least now I'll have my players back next game. (Most of them, and on an elven team a thrower isn't really needed.)”
