“Was an interesting game. End of 2nd half was especially thrilling, when Van Buren tried to dash through a dedicated 1turn defense, but failed short literally on the goal line. But lets go half by half.
1st half - Foxes elected to receive the ball, and hit first. It was looking good until their best blitzer, Jack Youngblood exited the pitch. Patriots were clearly the more physichal team, and it showed. Foxes hat little choice, but to score. Then Patriots drove down the pitch capping 1st half with 1-1. Spectators were shouting 'Patriots 2-1' grind from the sideline.
2nd half - Patriots proved again, and this time brutally about being physichal. I repeat the same message what i wrote in 1st half about this aspect of their game, as it was a brutal display of power. Bodies flew left and right, and it is a minor miracle that nobody got really seriously injured on the Foxes side. Hits happened, elbow was used, and even lower legs. Youngblood left the field again early. Patriots stalled for some time, then went for the late score. Which left little time for the Foxes to do anything. They set up for a 1turn attempt. Then riot happened...
...Foxe cursed the event as they had no plan to go for the 2 turn score, being seriously undermanned. All they had was Van Buren, who almost went the distance again, after stealing the playoff win from the Razorbacks in similar situation (except the score was 1-1 instead of 2-1 in that game).
The rest is covered in the 1st paragraph, Patriots make the Superbowl again, on to the Skins! (Be there the Wolf or Green kind.)”
