“Gumps Runners took a good beating today, it was like being back in Nam. The ref was not on their side and seemed oblivious to the Death Wheel that was steamrolling the pitch, but this was a stunty game so they were lucky to have a ref even watching.
The Runners scored first but it was quickly evened out by the Foof before the second half.
Players were starting to be lost from both sides in the second half and there was a break from Bass, one of the Jezzail's. He was taken down by a couple of goblins and then things really opened up. Both teams scrambled for the ball with neither being that successful.
The game ended with an unexpected pick up and pass by Doctor. Gump caught the ball, got his mind focused and ran in for a touch down. All that could be heard was poor Jenny, who was nursing a smashed ankle, shouting "run Forrest RUN". He kept running and was not found for a few days.
Dave Grohl was really irritated with his team mates and couldn't even let his fury out on a drum kit due to his arm being fractured. ”
