I've played against them before... but never with them, and I now see the versatility. They have everything that you want, aside from AG4.
(Consequently, the Tahitian ghoul rolled AG+ ;)
The game was whack with fail back and forth. We both had great dice and horrible dice at times. It came down to key rolls not going to schpit on me when I had to score... but I felt I put myself in good position to have those chances, so... progress. Anti's frogs were aggressive and relentless, so it was a challenge for certain. Thanks for rescuing my Friday night :)”
#4 Tripped in the Endzone – Smashed Hand (MNG) #6 Couldn't Dodge – Fractured Leg (MNG) #7 Failed a Block – Dead (RIP)
“Incidentally, it's the Ag4 that made me start with 4 catchers, a Krox, and 3 RRs, instead of any other build that might have landed me a blitzer or two instead. When it hits the pitch, as they say, every bit of mobility helps make those elf like BS plays happen.
Even in spite of great position leaving very few opportunities, I likely owe 2 key mistakes to losing instead of running away with this one. Towards the end of the first half, after a total BS steal, I should have punted. Instead I set a too loose screen, and eventually lost the ball.
And then halfway through the 2nd half, I again went for a GFI instead of attempting to punt, which led to a stunned catcher and a loose ball. At least the throw would have only resulted in a loose ball.
Even so, it required a -2d blitz and some dice rolling in the first, and a 4+ 4+ catch and dodge in the second to get that win, so I'll take my Pyhrric victories where I can. Good game man. ”
