A 1-0 stunty tournament match. I am shocked it went this way. Plays of the game for the Hulks included Haughty escaping through tackle zones and then getting as far away from the angry halflings as possible. Then clearly in the second half putting down the only fling in simple scoring range at the end of the game.

The misfortunes of the game went to the flings. In the final play of the first half after several GFI they only manage to push Haughty into the endzone. Then on the 1 turn attempt at the end of the half one of the agile flings cannot stick the landing and crashes to the turf.

Well played coach Khor. A couple of different dice rolls and this would have been completely different.

#15 "Tousse ô" Zabri – Smashed Knee (NI)
A great final! I loved it despite some key rolls failed.

After being lucky in the last two games, against my old friend Ludwig Zed and then against a great Gob team coached by Vicius, my Flings finally hit a snag.
It could have seemed an easy match: Hulks were slaughtered in their last game, losing many good gobs, while we had the complete team with the return of our second tree.

First half took place pretty well, even if we wanted some more blood. We tried to force gobbos to take some risks at the end, but it didn't work as expected.
We had an opportunity to equalize at 8th turn, but the nice anti-ttm defense worked perfectly.

Second half was not great from our part. I didn't blitz in the first turns to keep by blitzers around the ballcarrier. Trees were not punchy enough. I was very scared by the st3 ag5 gobbo, and with the lack of DT's I couldn't try to hurry on the side without my trees. I thought it would be good enough if the trolls were stuck on a side. But Zed made a double skull: I wanted to keep my rerolls for a potential overtime, but this failed block cornered my tackler far away from my ballcarrier, and gave an opportunity for a troll to come back and help the other one to push down my trees.
I've found very few opportunities in the 15th turn to build something, so I tried to be as secure as possible. But a gobbo had a -2db try, and get pow/skull+pow (too bad Bajer still hasn't block skill). I had a last solution in the last turn with a chainpush, but failed to have a pushback on the first block. The rest of the move wouldn't have been easy, but it wasn't impossible.

Kondor played well, and with the help from his st3ag5 gobbo it was enough to defeat my agile Flings. I hope to have a rematch in another tournament!
