“I'm trying to get these guys to around 1150TV to practice for Chaos Cup. So trying to play them to that style. No fooling around and not really trying to even skill up players beyond what they would get in the tournament. My apologies if the last quarter was boring. If I were just playing for funsies, I probably wouldn't have stalled. Better luck next time, sir.
*SELF CRITIQUE* Maximizing blocks and positioning is the name of the game. And while I wasn't able to keep them shut out, I was out-blocking and removing players at a decent clip. 3-die blocks whenever I could with the mummies, blitzes to free up players for assists or into other players for follow-up blocks.
I'd be interested to see if someone had an idea of how I could have kept the shutout early. I know I left the ghoul that recovered the ball open for a 2D Blitz. But my main thought was cover the ball and plan the rest of the team around pressuring them into scoring if I failed the pickup. Mainly, I wasn't concerned with the elves scoring early, as I wanted to punch them and do exactly what I did.
So seriously out-blocked. Both mummies got into double digit blocks and the vast majority of them were 3 dice. Rather proud of that stat.”
