#7 The Velvet Underground & Nico XIII – Damaged Back (NI)
“A fun game in the Special Olympics category in XFL Masters, which naturally led to the only Really Stupid player on the field having a star role.
For the first time in the event our "trade sniper shots and run like hell" strategy paid off for a while and we had a pretty good first drive. After Lou Reed got BH-ed and some gobs took themselves off things got a bit tight, but John Cale's blodge and mobility saved the day for a T8 1-0.
The return drive went pretty much as standard for Underworld teams. Some guys off early and running and hiding to wait for a mistake or an intervention by Nuffle, which did not come. In fact, we even got to see a Khemri hand-off. Yes, we got THAT badly beaten :)
Jeffro refused to stall out for the draw, which led to us having 4 turns with ELEVEN players (5 rookie gobs, but still) to go for the win. The khems did manage to knock tehe ball loose once, but then we got it back to Cale, who once again blodged his way through being blitzed and ran in the winner.”

Definitely a challenge after I completely blew my chance to rid ourselves of Lou Reed with an opening Blitz! I blame myself and quite frankly, I think that brain fart cost us the game, as Lou went on to remove Tombers at a wicked pace. But we were outpaced, outnumbered at times, and outclassed overall.
