“Fumbbl Cup XVII round 1

On paper, all that I had to fear from this round's match-up was the underdog factor. The Goliath effect. Noob luck, to put it crudely.

And boy, did it kick in.

Luckily, not in the shape of hurt rats all over the pitch, but as a series of snakes and sloppy plays on my part. This, combined with some sterling passing play from the amazons, left me 1-2 down at halftime when the 2-0 had been so close.

Memory of the second half is blurry already, but overtime was reached with little to no damage done to either team.

The Ladies won the toss and were heading for the final TD in a sideline cage. GR leaped in for a 3d uphill (whoopsie, 2 guards flanking was it?), got the surf and a kind throw in. True to form, the scramble for the endzone was a mess of bad decisions and bad dice, with the ball changing hands a couple more times, but we got it there in the end!

Overall, I think I can sum this game up as "Way harder than it should have been, but a hell of a lot of fun!"”
