“Boy, we pulled this one out of a hat. Game starts in a blizzard, and the darkies get a blitz. First block, BOOM, an SI on my thrower, and they just waltz in for the easiest score of their lives. We line up again to take it downfield, and succeed in taking it down for a score along the left sidelines. I make a mistake in placing my two catchers (the one with the sidestep goes THERE, not HERE) allowing him to retake the lead. Lineup again, but botched ball handling in the snow stops me from scoring at the half.
Second half comes along, and here's where things began to get entertaining. Both sides jockeying for position, using guard to maximum effect. Ball goes back and forth, POW's are flying left and right with bodies soaring through the air and into the injury boxes. Eventually the elves score again, making it 3-1. Things are looking grim. But despite this, the humans do not give up, and score again down the left hand side.
Trailing 3-2, we had to hope for a blitz in order to retake the ball in time to score the tying touchdown, but it was not meant to be. His super witch elf breaks free (YOU try to stop this guy!), and has a convoy of blockers. He's making these crazy dodges through heavily congested tz's to not let me any clear paths. However, he's not the only one with ag 4 players, and what's more, my ag 4 blitzer is also str 4. He can dodge, I can dodge, and get the POW to knock the ball loose to boot. We still have a chance...
...only to see that chance get lost yet again as his ag 5 witch picks up the ball...
...or not...
...but neither can I in the very bright sunlight...
...finally his ag 5 witch picks it up, but trips trying to dodge to the endzone...
...allowing my ag 3 blitzer to grab the ball off the ground, throw a long pass downfield over a potential interceptor, to a catcher waiting to then handoff to our team's other ag 4 human who then races to paydirt in turn 8 to secure a draw. Meanwhile, jade's cyber-fingers are reaching through the computer screen to strangle me for stealing away his victory with my impossible play.
Jade's a great coach to play against, and I hope he and I can have more such enjoyable and memorable games in the future. Though maybe not, if he somehow feels too cheated...”
