Woodys go 1-0 up. Stall the half away. Second half blitz gifts Woodys a 2-0 lead. Woodys start to lose players at a rate of knots when other team have the ball. So far so normal. Situation escalates to the point where max 5 players can be left.
Ball is close to the line. Opposing coach decides not to score so he can foul my player. It was a good foul, (st decrease and failed apo) and on the most annoying player in the team really. But it meant there were no longer sufficient turns left to win the game.
Personally i would say that 11 v 5 when playing Dark Elves is a great shot at winning in 4 turns. Especially as player removals continued and it ended up being 3 players v shortly afterwards.
When questioned, coach said he was convinced he would make a mistake anyway so went for the foul... I mean... seems defeatist to me. Revenge fouls are one thing. But there were 5 turns left to get revenge at that stage and the match wass still live. Can't help thinking that the negativity of the mindset affected the play as coach took over with 11 v 3 players advantage which became 11 v 2 at kick off with 3 turns left to score and just blew it completely. So not even a draw. Woodys win.
I guess it was a self fulfilling prophecy.
Thanks be to Rupert for presenting such a tempting target whilst prone! We shall definitely keep him even at St 1 as his skill set makes this disadvantage pretty minimal.
