“This was a comfortable win for the humans, but not a very satisfying one as we didn't play particularly well, it's just that Eeared spent the entire game alternating between no luck, and terrible luck.

And really it was all over by the end of the first half, with me having scored off the dark elf offensive drive and then getting the ball back at the start of the second. And by then Eeared had suffered 7 out of a possible 8 turnovers - and not even particularly tricky ones either, but ones dark elves would be expected to pass most of the time.

Once I'd secured the second score, the game became a bit slower, with the rain getting in the way and leading to a lot of failed pick-ups. But then, just to add a final nail into the dark elf coffin, I managed a final turn score which involved a handful of necessary blocks, a long bomb and a catch in the rain.

Can't argue with those dice.

So I hope Eeared's luck comes back. This was a terrible game for him and was clearly no fun to have to play through - although he never once complained and kept up a cheerful chat right to the end. Hopefully, our next encounter is more evenly balanced, because he certainly deserves it to be, and it will make the game a lot more challenging and fun if it is.”
