“Fun and crazy game against the mad goblins and their legend trolls and fanatic. Two hired catchers filled out the roster and did a fair job absorbing some damage. Elves managed to dodge out of trouble for most of the first half, then ganged up on the Blodge fanatic and punched him out cold with a Tackle. Gobbos had no problem walking the ball in for a score on turn 8, despite some elf nonsense with the 4ST Leap catcher who had a shot at the ball.

Chainsaw was good for exactly one thing, which was hitting the chainsawer in the head when he was tackled on the Elves' first turn.

Second half the elves were receiving, and were blessed by Nuffle with a Quick Snap which let them gain the upper hand and immediately start knocking out goblins which stood but a yard away from the line of scrimmage. One of the trolls did the elf coach the favor of knocking himself out on a failed dodge.

Revelleerz did an admirable job of trying to get possession back focusing the efforts of 4 goblins on poor ST4 catcher. One of them actually picked it up when it bounced, but was then quickly stripped of it.

Elves had to decide between going for a quick score and risk another blood bath on the line of scrimmage and the horror of defeat at the hands of the little green ones... and trying to have some fun beating up the few remaining goblins on pitch while keeping well away from stray goblins with the ball. They chose the latter, and even felt the faint whiff of a possible pitch clear... sadly, the remaining troll was only stunned by an ambitious foul, and those dodgy goblins wouldn't go down and stay down.

Sörin Kader had his best game in a long time, throwing 5 for 49 yards (!), four of them in the second half. The techniques that coach Stikki taught him with "double passing" were very useful.

Blitzer Reinrik Fredfeldt got a +ST after the game, making him quite deadly! Now just another double to get him Mighty Blow!

Oh, and at the very last turn of the game (turn 8 for Gobbos after the reduction TD), Hail Mary Bomber landed a bomb smack in the face of Heckar Gunnscher and would have killed him dead if it hadn't been for the ministrations of the team apothecary! Awesome, if a little poorly timed!
