The Bodega had a bit of bad luck on the first turn, trying to do a Stikki style pass to farm some SPP's... pass went OK, but the catch failed (Nuffle loves those 1s, so made sure I rolled two of them) and the ball dropped where the chaos players could snatch it up. Bodega managed to stripball and punt the ball down the field, but were unable to gain possession and bring it in for the touchdown. Instead, the Horrors caged up and walked the ball in for an easy touchdown.
Something snapped in the elves when they saw the ball in the hands of a far stronger player than they could reasonably hope to knock over, especially with the only Strip Ball player on the team on a gurney in the medics' tent... and they decided that the best way to pressure the Chaos coach into scoring was to gang foul as many opponents as they possibly could...
The chaos coach responded in kind and ordered his gang to brutalize every pointy-eared Bodega player that hit the grass. Both teams watered the pitch with bright red blood before the game was over... it was a game that reminded all who watched why the game is called "Blood Bowl".
Reduction touchdown was at least a successful elf play, a no-fuss 2-turner utilizing a lineman who caught the ball in a tackle zone, then dodged out and had to make a single GFI roll to score.
Try as they did, the elves didn't even come close to the number of blocks that the chaos coach was able to land (44 vs 34).”
