“This was a very close game that probably should have ended tied 2-2. The mighty Pharoahs controlled the tempo for the first 12 turns or so easily scoring twice on the hapless elven philosophers who were having trouble being terribly effective. The Orcs owned the line of scrimmage, putting mutliple elves in the hurt locker and KO box all game. To his credit, Grothgar pushed forward to attempt a turn 8 tie-breaking score but was unable to defend the ball as he was stretched thin, allowing the elves a fairly daunting series of rolls to score the winning TD, which they miraculously did.
Apparently the crowd preferred the rough and tumble style of the Orcs, as they voted FF in their favor and not ours.
Thanks for the game, Grothgar! ”
“Sorry I left so sudden after the end; I was being threatened with dire death unless I let someone use the phone. Didn't want you to think that I left because you gutted me with that last lucky touchdown :).
All he says is true, but I don't believe in stalling so I scored when I probably could have stalled for a few turns, and then in the end I wanted the win, rather than a draw to hurt my opponent and so I moved down the pitch with purpose. A few unlucky blocks and dodges, plus that bloody Elven AG4 allowed tautology to move from one end of the pitch to the other in turn 8, typical elves.
Still, a good match, although my orcs are pussys when it comes to beating people up, oh well, I'm sure it will come in time *grumble*”
