Some dreadful performances by the Scoundrels early on saw Fungus the Loon wandering blithely around the middle of the field, forgetting to hit anyone, and the Puppies and Fluffy Candy charged past to score in the 7th turn, pausing only to kill dear old Avo Smash Toastyflake, veteran of so many games.

But a flukey throw of Fructose Overdose and an inspired set of dodges took the score to 1-1 as the half time whistle blew.

The second half should have been a walk in the park for the Puppies, but Manshape went into top gear and started smashing people, and what looked like a 2-1 loss turned into a potential 2-1 win, possession going back and forth, and a possible draw looming. It was going down to the last turn when Fructose's improbable series of dodges turned into an entry to the It's A Knock Out competition, and the Puppies could stride home with a well-deserved win.
