“Here we brought 4 journeymen in our 2 Blitzer lineup. But we faced a Wood Elf team missing one of their Wardancers, and having 6 journeyelves!
First half we faced some early trouble after an Elf Perfect Defence and a long kick. Jesiah got the ball with help around him in our backfield. After some moving around we got near halfway and their Wardancer leapt into attack. But he fell! The Treemen also soon tumbled over when trying to rush into a blitz. After that we were through and had less problem making it near the endzone. They also injured their thrower with a tripup. But somehow after a stall Jesiah... forgot to score for us! The whistle blew. An incredible error. So it was 0-0 at half-times.
Second half their Wardancer ball carrier pulled back and eventually went in to the middle near the Treemen which had rooted. But they twice gave us blitz chances. The first risky attack led to our Blitzer being ko'd by the Treemen, but the 2nd worked. The Elves recovered but then finally we got the ball out again. Our last blitzer had a 4+ chance to pickup but fumbled! The Elves then rushed a loner forward to receive a pass in the endzone (though that would make the pass harder). But the Elf near the ball also fumbled anyway! Jesiah then saw his chance and got the ball and advanced. We now had an extra player, due to a KO, and were just able to make the score before the full-time whistle. A narrow escape!
We got away with some errors there. And despite the continuing lack of Blitzers the Plebeians register our 5th win in a row.”
