“The game did not live up to the banter all the time, especially early, but then both teams warmed up and did some serious moves to win the game. Bortles met with Slugg, but came out on top, sort of summarizes it all.
1st half saw Sluggers running around and beyond Pats players, trying to hurt some of them in the progress. As a response to the sniper attack, Pats players elected to gangfoul and MNG Sluggers Ogre, and chasing their escaping thrower. Some piling on happened too, and soon Pats players were crashing down on loose ends. Sluggers felt the heat, and elected to evade a mass assault, so scored early. Still in the 1st half, on offense, Pats line powed on Sluggers line, obliterating it, which resulted at a convenient equalizer.
2nd half saw Pats drive that ultimately went home, but had to drive the hard way. No early elimination helped, but Sluggers resisted. There was quite a scuffle at the middle of the half, without much result. Pats players tried to go after Sluggers stars, while Sluggers tried to hit Pats killers, and Bortles with the ball. Both attempts failed at the end, and Dupree scored the winner.
Some wooden spoon goes to Jugua Parker, who mismanaged his game. A killer with 2 blocks, lying on the ground while fouled, and botching blitz is probably not MVP worthy.
Favorite moment was from 1st half, Ray PRETTY Moore shouting
- Not my face! Not my face!
...and...
- Score, before they get to me! Quick. QUICK!!”
