That was one tough 0-0 draw.

I knew I was going to have to hold the Amazons down so when I won the coin toss, opted to kick. albzn had a streak of bad luck (rerolling a skull to a skull on the second block of the first turn, Amazons incapable of dodging most of the first half) which allowed me to contain them and prevent much from going on.

In the second half, although I was lucky enough to get the ball into a cage, I made slim progress for the first four turns, and then ran out of time near the end. With the ball tantalisingly close to the end zone, and just one tackle zone to dodge through ... Sid failed to dodge and fell down at the end of turn 8.

And then Tray got badly hurt in one of the last blocks of the game. So much for the big lady being light on her feet.

Really enjoyed this, a nice thoughtful break from the underworld. And who thought you could say that about an orcs vs Amazons match?
