This was a bit of an insane game of high rolls and silly plays, and looking at the dice stats it is clear I benefitted from Nuffle's favour.
It all started on defense, with the bull centaur unable to collect the ball first time allowing a bit of dwarf pressure. 2 early departures meant I had to take chances, and a slayer dodged for the -2D hit with the juggernaut facilitated surf my main aim, but hit double POWs instead. A runner slipped clear to score.
A more routine drive saw an equalizer for 1-1 at half time and the Pummelers receiving, but still 2 men down with the lazy blocker Hod Grandpit pretending to sleep in the knock out box. That forced a rather rash breakaway down the line but Nuffle allowed it and the 2-1.
A sterner defense made things difficult for the chaos dwarves and it looked like we'd held them off! The bull forced its way through but the rerolls were spent on both sides.
GSL's dice fell apart as his team tired in overtime, but my dwarves finished strong to steal a defensive winner.”
