“Though these Vamps had a losing record we were wary against a strong coach. (A 1/1/1 record against me in TT despite him using Stunties each time!). But we were determined to deliver that ball today.
After some early blocking two Vamps pulled off a pass forward between them. But a failed Thrall block left Count Aan-Mhee exposed. A thrall had been ko'd and bitten while a Black Orc ko'd another. We didn't get Aan-Mhee down first attempt, but after another Vamp failed his blitz we happily surfed Aan-Mhee who had his ribs brutally bashed by our fans. After a pickup it looked we could comfortably score with our extra numbers but twice they conjured ways through to get our carrier down. The ball was even thrown back down our end. By half-time both sides failed to score. Big Bag Packer also had flexed his muscles and killed a thrall!
Second half against 8 players we just had to keep control. Some heavy blows from either side meant it ended 8 players v 2 and we had the TD. Successful delivery!
The Neck Romantic will be a tougher side with a 4th Vamp. Next time maybe..
