“Last game for the Giants in the Trophy, and like most of them, a loss :-(
A few positives to extract from this: all that investment in tackle early on is beginning to pay off. There were some appalling positioning gaps that were rightfully exploited, but when we could get a orc on a rat, we usually managed to hurt them. So the blow of a 3-1 loss is softened by the 2-0 casualty count.
Negatives: fouling the Rat Ogre to knock it out was fun, but without dirty player it was pretty inefficient. At least it forced the use of the apothecary early on, leaving the rats exposed for more serious punishment later on.
Dealing with sidestep and guard is painful. Even after playing three games with Skaven on tabletop yesterday, I keep getting surprised by just how fast a gutter runner is.”
