“The Wrestlers were matched up against some Gobbos. They had some Block star trolls, a block saw and a block fanatic amongst their number, though their diver was out. 2 of our Ogres were sitting the match out too so we managed to dredge up a Merc ogre and a babe to help us.

Haystacks and suprisingly Time Bandit ko'd a couple of gobbos on their drive but others wandered up our flank easily while the fanatic ko'd a snot and their saw cut another two. We were going dumb and struggling to bother their stall but eventually got a line ahead of them. It looked good but I should have moved one more player up to the sideline corner as their ag4 stunty carrier was able to romp through the little gap with 2+ dodges. We were 1-0 down and not able to do anything more than stunning Lucan with a ttm fall on our t8. But at least we had a full lineup for half 2! And the saw, fanatic and dastardly coach were banned.

The gobs did a perfect defence. Les killed off a gobbo but I did a horrendous error by missing a diving tackle. A snot failed the 5+ dodge and we were left without the ball. I then noticed there were unmarked diving tacklers seemingly everywhere! Two of our snots were permanently weakened from hits. Not long later a gobbo blitzed through a snot, who had eventually picked up, and then the gob got their 2nd TD.

Then our woes were compounded when the gobbos blitzed us. We did get the ball but another diving tackle effort left us floundering again. The gobs whooping as they scored a third.

We did at least get some minor consolation in the end. Haystacks injured a gob , and they were now down in numbers. Lucan had the ball and could get forward with cover. He extended his spp record with a late move over the line. He enjoyed avoiding hurt today!

So we go off defeated, but at least hurt some Gobs on the way. Go Ogres!
