On the pitch, the lizards marched up, harassed by leaping crazy elves. The lizards actually lost the ball a few times, but never very dangerously. On the very last turn, the Whispers coach failed to select blitz option in order to put diving tackle Rime Ice into contact with the ball carrying skink, so had to settle with putting Rime Ice in the most likely path to the end zone. Then through wondrous sidesteps after the lizards couldn't take down Esper Night easily, all the other paths were blocked; and the last chance the Dry Skins had to score in the first half was lost when Slibli skulled trying to move Rime Ice.
In the second half, elf removals continued. Haunting Night flew over the lizardflesh wall to pass the ball to Rime Ice, only for Lottabottol to use Pass Block and Leap to intercept the pass! Lottabottol couldn't get safe though, and Rime Ice bounced the ball free, and the elves regrouped, before launching themselves forward again.. a giant mash up of 37 lizards and 3 elves ensued, with lizards knocking over the ball carrying elf not once, but twice, on the same turn, only for it to bounce AGAIN into the waiting arms of Haunting Night, who leapt past the 2 million pounds of Dry Skins surrounding him to race for a touchdown on turn 7.
This left two turns for the Dry Skins to equalize, and only 8 elves to try to slow them down.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Triple Skull! No team re-rolls left!
The elves elfed, and the lizards had ball problems (it was pouring and then very sunny), and dice went all over, but in the end, the dice failed the Dry Skins.
