“This game is far closer than the stats look. Yes, the Rats got beat up very badly. Yes we had 3 players (2 rats and 1 gobbo) on the pitch at the very end. But the game was 0-0 at the end of the first half.

But the real thing that turned thisgame was turn... 5 in the first half. The Hornets had received, and so the ball was supposedly theirs, but they never really got it covered. Then, we had a huge opening. Dukene needed to pass 2 2+ dodges (with dodge skillavailable), a 2+ pick up (team re-roll available), and 2 gfi's (sure feet available). We would have been up 1-0, and actually had the man advantage at that point (we removed a lot of skinks).

But, Dukene failed the pick-up. And then immediately got badly hurt by the saurus covering the ball.

From that point, our ball game looked very bad.

But the Otyugh was preventing the last skink from scoring very handily. Eventhe first of the Hornets touchdowns came down to a 1die block (no team re-roll) against the Otyugh.

But missing too many blitzers, never causing cas or even KO on the saurus or krox, meant that we couldn't recover from those two incidents.
