“We were looking for Glory against these solid Humans, but got something else entirely.
They have plenty of Block and Guard in their setup. Along with a strength 4 they had a tough line for the Elves to pass by. But we should have moved some players through the centre after knocking the los down. Their line moved in to mark us up and immediately ko'd a dodger. Then on our 2nd turn Syrius fell over and needed apo intervention on his collar bone! Soon after that our Dodge thrower snaked a dodge and smashed his hand! What a start. We managed to get some players around but they got the blitz KO of a blitzer they needed to free the way through to our carrier Terith. He tried to dodge around again but fell down stunned, and a Guard elf had his hand smashed too from a hit. The Humans then waltzed their way through to score by half-time while we suffered more KOs from strong hits.

Second half we had only 6 players on, and there was a pitch invasion by the frustrated fans. There were some more KO blocks on Elves, and Speed Kills was stunned in a brave cage break attempt. Before long we were 2-0 down.

So now we hoped to at least avoid perms and perhaps get a TD back. We had 8 players for the drive. A few Elves got through while Speed Kills had the ball in our half. Syrius had a snakes dodge fail and soon the ball was freed up. There were more KOs. Speed Kills went for another steal attempt, with a 4+ dodge needed. He did the dodge with rr but failed the -2db...and was retired with a smashed collar bone! So much for rewarding the brave :O Our last player with more than 20 spps left on this team, and also the last of our original team(34 matches) players.. The Humans marched on to 3-0 for our biggest ever defeat.

Shockingly in this match from 36 Human block attempts and some Elf dodge fails the Elf armour broke 22 times! And from our 23 block attempts there was not a single case of the Human armour being broken. Incredible.

It was like men against boys today, and we suffered. But the remnants will return again.
