“Dorf vs dorf is never exciting, and so it looked as the Legends settled down for an eight-turn grind in the first half. Marching down the right channel and aided by a handy fireball that BHed a guarding Grudgebearer, the chaos dwarves nevertheless managed to leave their line open after some unsuccessful blocking. Jack Dyer was knocked over on a single die pow, the ball spilled out of bounds, and the crowd threw it back to the middle of the field, behind the Legends' line. This eventually worked out fine for the Legends, as Sandy Roberts scrambled back to pick up and switch play to the left. Despite a few desperate lunging blocks by the Grudgebearers, one of which even knocked him over, Sandy managed to stroll in on turn 8 to make it 1-0 at half time. but not before the fans rioted!

The Grudgebearers set up at the start of the second half concentrated towards the middle of the pitch, no doubt preparing for a long grind of their own. However, the game turned when the Legends suddenly blitzed! With the flanks largely unprotected, both bull centaurs managed to sprint to get close to the lone dorf in the backfield, and despite the best efforts of the Grudgebearers to scramble back, Jack Dyer successfully picked up and dashed over the line to make it 2-0 and pretty much put the result beyond doubt.

Coach m0nty called Perfect Defence on the next drive, but eventually both sides managed another TD. The fans are flocking to the Legends, who knows what they will be capable of in the finals!”
