- 1: They walked up in 4 turns after a pitch invasion slowed them a bit, didn't really fancy the dice for a strip when there was better things to hit. Pinkeye banned first boot, Bill snagged Slim, Bruce got the KO on Avo, and Irene scored and out, can't really ask for more with elves unless you fancy a lot of free troll hits, only a catcher out to the saw. 0-1 T4.
- 2: We got Stu in range, another gob off for fouling, and 1-1 T5.
- 3: Swoop and in, 2-1 T6.
- 4: Snaked a catch, 3+ pickup after some good blocking from Frank, and then Bruce dropped the next catch too. Gobs everywhere, needed a lucky scatter and got a great one, Bruce runs it in 2-2, T8.
- 5: Mrs Longneck couldn't manage the blitz! leap, and Bruce took out the swoop threat. Stu in range again, and score 3-2 T2.
- 6: Teflon went long with it, but couldn't stick the landing. Brian up with the ball and in, 4-2 T4.
- 7: Our blitz!, which I messed up, they recovered a nice pickup but Wanton tried to block the pitch and it was just so much bigger than he was. Bruce dropped the pass again, but their punt attempt went astray and Stu away for 5-2, T6.
- 8: The Mrs messed up the TTM attempt, still sad about giving the ball to Wanton, but a little Sawdust stuck a good boot into Brad, necessitating the Apothecary's attention. Bill ran off with the ball, and kindly passed to Stu for his fourth of the game, 6-2 T8.
- 9: Perfect D and they chased us for a big blitz and foul.

It started well - we won the coin toss. After that, most things went downhill.
Whether it was having to burn the apothecary saving Slim Hammerhands from death, or killing my dear beloved Block goblin by throwing him into the pitch at high velocity, the Scoundrels just weren't playing right today. Was the lowest moment getting ready for a one-turner, then forgetting to actually hand the ball off? Hard to say.
This was the highest scoring game I've ever had. I just wish we'd scored a few more of them. Hats off to tussock for nullifying every tactic the goblins have in their armoury. On to the next season...”
