“The Hellmouths faced Forest Gobbos, but we little expected the horror to come.
We set up squigs on the LOS. Turned out to be a big mistake! Firstly Devil was ko'd by the shaman. We didn't do much in response and then Monkey was stabbed and badly hurt. We used the apo to help us later on. Seconds later the stunned Hellmouth was fouled by a dirty player and had his collar bone smasheed! A massive blow to the team namesake. Big King then was lusty so didnt go for the carrier. A herder was then ko'd. Their carrier moved across. Big King saw his chance to do some good work and leapt forward, but snaked his gfi and was ko'd in front of their player! The rest of the half just got more painful.
We had a brief chance to hit back after their TD but did little. Their Forest gobbos seemed too tough!
Second half our 2 KOs, including Hardest Nutz stayed out. Our early hits did little (triple skulls not helping) and then a spider rider blitzed Devil and fractured his skull! Both our long playing squigs were permed. Big King had the ball but was strip balled by the Shaman. A couple more of our players were stabbed out. Big King still had another chance to save the day. He dodged forward, knocked down their carrier, picked up the ball and dodged away. Had a reroll left to use for gfis to escape. But snaked again!! Incredible. A Forest Gobbo could then safely score.
We still had an unlikely chance to score one back. But they did another long kick and Big King tripped up again. A Forest Gobbo dodged through, picked, and made it 3-0!



We did a rather large 25 gfis... but 9 failing (some even after rr) was a cruel ratio.
All in all a harrowing defeat. No spps either (other than MVP). Frustrating that both the big injuries were on squigs. Hellmouth will be retired. Devil may play on, but he is an easier target now.
